Student Instructions

1. Look at the picture and word. 2. highlighter YES if the base word is 1 syllable, has 1 short vowel, and/or is followed by 1 consonant. If you highlight all 3, YOU DOUBLE THE CONSONANT AND ADD THE SUFFIX -ED OR -ING! If the baseword does not have all 3, you just add -ED or -ING without doubling the consonant. 3. Use the pen or label tool to write the word on the line using the suffix -ED or -ING 4. Click on check when finished.
