Year Groups: 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, 5th Grade
Subjects: English Language Arts

Instructions for Pupils

Today you are going to use your visual and inference skills to infer the main idea of each concentric circle. Use the images and or words as clues to determine the main idea. Write the main idea in the middle of the white circle, and then record yourself on each slide telling me the main idea and how you came to make that inference. Be careful, some are trickier than you may think! 1. add 2. Look at the images and or words around the blue circle, what do you notice? Is there a common theme? 3. Infer the main idea and then use the mic to record yourself explaining how you know the main idea for each slide. 4. Use the label and or pen tool to write what you infer the main idea is of that circle. 5. Repeat this process on the other slides 6. On the last slide you will make me a circle and I will infer the main idea! 6. WOW work? 7. check when done.
