COA Literacy: There is no dragon in this story!

First before you read the story discuss the following: The cover of There Is No Dragon In This Story features seven characters from six different fairytales. How many of them can you name? What other fairytales do children know? Which are their favourites? Which do they think are the scariest tales? And the funniest? Next enjoy listening to the story, After that discuss the following: Did you like the dragon in the story? What words would they use to describe it to someone who has not read the book yet? After that using the drawing tool; Draw your own dragon - use bright colours and remember to include key features like wings a tail and fire! Choose a name for it too. Free Writing: practising your writing skills by making up a story about your dragon. Can you think of another way the dragon could help one of the fairy tale characters. Finally use the microphone tool to record your Dragon's adventure!
