In the story, THOSE SHOES by Maribeth Boelts, Jeremy really wants a pair of black, high-top shoes. However, his grandma tells him, that what he needs are winter boots. Determined to get the shoes, Jeremy goes to thrift stores and finds a pair of the black, high-top shoes, but they are too small. Jeremy buys them anyway. The following day at recess he notices that Antonio’s shoes are duct-taped together. Jeremy finds himself faced with a dilemma– he really wants the shoes but Antonio needs them. Jeremy eventually decides to give his shoes to Antonio. When Jeremy gave the shoes to Antonio he was demonstrating the quality called generosity. When you show generosity, you might give away things or money or put others before yourself. How can you demonstrate the quality of generosity? Think of ways you have been generous or ways that you can show generosity. Select add Use the label to write about a time you were generous or a way you can show generosity.
