Student Instructions

We've been learning about Resilience in PDHPE this term. Now, more than ever, it's important for us to be able to develop our resilience to adversity. Lesson Steps.... 1) Watch the attached video clip. 2) Think about these questions and talk them over with someone at home: o The ball is struggling to get up the hill - does it want to give up? o The ball changes shape so it can go uphill – why does it do this? o Friends help when the triangle won’t float – what would happen if the triangle didn’t have its friends support? o The corn crops fail because of no water, then too much - why didn't the farmer give up? 3) Discuss with someone at home, what the clip is about, and come up with your own definition for resilience. 4) OPTION 1 for response - Press add and select drawing. Draw a picture of yourself completing a difficult task. OPTION 2 for response - Press add and select photo or video. Take a picture or video of yourself completing a difficult task. 5) Press label and write some confidence building thoughts, or ideas about how to adapt that might be useful in helping you complete the task. 6) Press caption and write your definition of resilience. 7) Click check to submit.
