Teachers, save “Independent Reading- Day 8” to assign it to your class.

Choose any book that interests you (it can be on EPIC or other online resource). Set up a nice cozy reading spot and set a timer for 30 minutes. You can choose to read by yourself, to someone, or read an audiobook. Remember... readers are thinkers so don't just read the words on the page but think about what you are reading. When your time is up, choose a way to respond to your reading. You can either choose a question from the list attached to give a written response, write a summary, or record a retell of what you read. Don't forget to tell me the title of the book you were reading. Happy reading!
