4 Toothpicks - Making Lines

Grades: 3rd Grade
Subjects: Math

Student Instructions

Find toothpicks at home. If you don't have any toothpicks, you can use any 4 things that are the same length such as, pencils, markers, or chop sticks... be creative! 1) Use your toothpicks to make an example of the different types of lines you learned yesterday: Parallel, perpendicular and intersecting. 2) After you have practiced, you will do it again, but this time, you will teach me everything you know about those lines in a video. Be creative! How? Here's an idea: Remember how Ms. Ashley used railway lines as an example of parallel lines in her video? If you see examples of those lines around the house, take a picture and add them to your video! Don't forget to identify the lines you see. I'm looking forward to your video!
