Math Task - Pattern Hunt

Grades: Pre-K, Kindergarten

Student Instructions

Directions: 1. Go on a pattern hunt in your house and/or neighborhood! 2. When you find a pattern, take a picture. (You can use your computer or ask a grown up if you can use their phone). 3. Some good places to start looking for patterns are: bathroom and kitchen tiles, bedding, sidewalks, gardens, buildings, and walls. 4. Once you have found at least 3 different patterns, upload them to Seesaw (one per page). 5. Tap add. 6. To upload a picture, first make sure it's on your computer (if it's not, have an adult help you). Then, tap photo and then upload. 7. Find the picture on your computer and click on it. 8. Once your picture is on Seesaw, tap the mic to explain what patterns you see. Tap the check when you are finished recording. 9. To open a new page for your next picture, tap addpage. 10. Once you have finished sharing your 3 different patterns, tap the check to submit your work.
