Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

Teachers, this activity is a fun way to practice adding or subtracting 1, 10, or 100 to a 3 digit number. >>> add your own voice directions as needed for your particular class. * If this is the first time your students are using a number generator, you will want to model how to start and stop it. * If your students have a hard time holding a 3-digit number in their memory before writing it, you will want to model how to write the generated number on a dry erase board or scrap paper before touching the pen tool to write it on chart. *Once they touch the pen, their generated number will disappear. * This activity can be used multiple times since the numbers are randomly generated. You can model it with the students in a whole group lesson before having them do it on their own. *This activity can be used as a "center" activity during guided math time. ** I created the number generator on Google Slides using Kris Szajner's tutorial :)
