Circle the numbers that make a group of ten. 3. Find the total by using the tool to fill in the numbers in the ten frame. For each new number, use a DIFFERENT COLOR. Be sure to fill in the numbers that make a group of 10 FIRST. 4. Use the tool. Write an equation to show the total.
This is a scaffolding activity that will help kids who are working on adding more than 2 numbers. They will be able to use the strategy of finding groups of ten to make adding sets of numbers easier.
