Teachers, save “Reading-- I-PICK and Good Fit Books” to assign it to your class.

I have been so happy this week to see that all of the Grade 5 distance learners choose books carefully and thoughtfully. I have enjoyed reading about your systems for deciding whether a book is too hard, too easy, or just right. Books that are not too hard and not too easy are perfect for making readers into stronger readers! Some readers use a thinking system called the "I-PICK" system for choosing a book. Today you will take some time to think about this system and to look at the choices of some readers in a mini story. I'm eager to see what you think about Reader A, Reader B, and their book choices!
