Duplicate and add to each new sentence as you go. 4.Now add what the person/thing is doing. 5.Then add details of when the person/thing is doing their activity. 6.Next add where this is happening. 7.Finally explain why this is happening. Congratulations! You have stretched your simple sentence into a complex sentence by adding details that explain who, doing what, where, when and why.
