Student Instructions

Read this story at least three days in a row. You can read half on the first day and half on the second day. By the third or fourth day, you should be very accurate and sound very fluent (reading smoothly, like talking). arrow Click on the picture of the title page to begin to read the book. Read each page to your parent, babysitter or older sibling. If you get stuck on a word, try to make the sounds in the word - if you cannot work it out, your helper can tell you the word after you have had a try at it. After you read each page, your helper can ask you the questions at the bottom of each page and talk about those with you. add When you have read the story two or three times, do the activity template (with a mic recording) so I can hear how you sound as you read. OPTIONAL: Create a poster to teach people how to stay safe when walking in the bush - think of at least two or three important things they should do. You can make your poster on Seesaw using the :draw: Drawing tool, or make your poster on paper and upload it as a photo or take a :camera: photo of it with Seesaw.
