This week we are looking at the different text features and structures we see in the two infographics. First teacher session - Text Features: 1. As a group, read each infographic. 2. Clarify any unknown words you come across. 3. Discuss the text features (headings, subtitles, graphics, graphs, diagrams, maps, photos, pictures, text boxes) Follow up activity - complete the tickled pink and green for growth chart for each infographic on the text features Second teacher session - Text Structures: 1. Use the structure cards on the 3rd page to discuss the 5 different text structures (sequence, problem and solution, cause and effect, description, compare and contrast). 2. What can we see in the Chesapeake Bay infographic? Let's find Follow up activity - Use the infographics attached to highlight the different text structures you might see. Use 5 different colours and make a key.
