Area Models for Multiplication

Student Instructions

1. Click add to find your name. 2. Roll 4 dice to find two 2-digit numbers you'd like to multiply (Example: if the dice read 4, 6, 7, 3 - you can arrange them to make a two numbers that you want). 3. Use the drawing tool to separate the box into your area model. 4. Write the numbers outside the box to label each section using the label or drawing tool. 5. Add all of your partial products using the drawing tool to solve for the product of your multiplication problem. 6. Use the mic to record how you solved your problem. 7. Write your answer on the line using the label tool. 8. Click the check to submit your work.
