Students can add typed text to Seesaw to respond to journal prompts, summarize material, or answer questions. In Seesaw, not only is it easy for teachers to see all of the students’ notes in one place, but students can later use others’ notes as a resource or a helpful study tool. Teachers will be able to quickly check for understanding and offer feedback. Before students complete this activity, teach them how to log in, post to the journal, and respond to activities. We have 4 quick lessons to teach students these essential skills at web.seesaw.me/get-students-started-kit. Give the lessons in person or virtually via video conferencing. Then, assign this activity to teach students how to use Learning Tools. In this activity, students will use the note tool to type a journal entry.
