After reading a number of Limerick poems.... Also knowing that Edward Lear is known as the ‘Father of Limericks’... 1. Research and find the name of his book of Limericks... 2. Note that Limericks always have 5 lines in an AABBA pattern.. often beginning with There once was a.... As well as the first, second and fifth lines having the name number of syllables(typically 8 or9) With the third and fourth lines having the same number of syllables (typically 5 or 6) Write a number of your own Limericks... 3. Create a video with your Limerick in text, you reading your Limerick in an expressive manner and a little history of the style of poetry called Limericks... Produce a piece of work to be proud of!!!!
