Page 1: Can you sort your mini-beasts? move Page 2: Using a tally chart, can you record the number of mini-beast in the class video? pen Page 3: Can you sort the mini-beasts by their properties? move Page 4: Can you create a pictograph by moving the mini-beasts based on their properties? move Share your work check

Page 2: As you sit and watch your garden, mini-beasts appear. Can you record data? How many of each mini beast passes by your window? Play the data video and, as a class, record the mini-beast in a tally chart - watch the video: https://youtu.be/JxSnpMecpOE Teachers: on a large whiteboard or flip chart paper, create a table to record the data from the video on the next slide. This is so the children can shout out when they see a mini beast, and you can record it as a tally chart. The children can then recreate the tally chart in their pupil journals on page 2.
