Student Instructions

To complete this activity you will need these food items: dried apricots, radishes, pickles, chickpeas, lemon, dark chocolate, potatoes (baked or cooked), sausages, boiled egg and natural yoghurt. To record your response: 1. Watch the video linked to the activity to learn more about the sense of taste. Tap add button. 2. Prepare the food listed on top. 3. Use the template to record your findings: - use pencil or pen to colour the face: 🙂 if the item was yummy ☹️ if the item was yucky. - use label and type the emoji in a blank square next to the item: 🔺 for salty foods, 🟢 for sour foods, 🟦 for sweet foods, 🔶 for bitter foods and ⭐️ for spicy foods. (If labeling is too difficult for you, feel free to draw these shapes accordingly.) 4. Match the shapes and colour the faces to each item. 5. Tap mic to read about what you discovered and answer the questions: - Which three items were your favourites? - Which of them do you need to eat regularly to stay alive? 6. Tap check twice to add it to your journal.
