Text-to-self: How does what is happening in your book connect to you? Has something that is happening in your book happened to you before? Do you have some similarities to the character/characters in your book? Text-to-text: Is something happening in your book that has happened in another book you have read? Think about the similarities and differences between the book you are reading now and a book you have read before. Did an event happen in your book that has happened in a previous book you have read?
