Teachers, save “Real Word vs. Nonsense Word Practice Wit…” to assign it to your class.

Click to begin the activity. Click at the bottom of each of the flexcard to change the letters. Then sound out the three letters you got and decide if it is a real word or a nonsense. If the letters go together to make a real word, click on one of the in the green smiley face section of the screen and type in that real word. If the letters do not go together to make a real word, click on one of the in the red frowny face section of the window and type in those letters for a nonsense word. Continue working, changing the letters each time, until you are able to fill in 10 real words in the smiley face section and 10 nonsense words in the frowny face section. When all frames are filled, click on the to turn in your work to your teacher.
