Student Instructions

You are currently visiting your expert region in WA state and you are having a fabulous time! You can't wait to get home and tell your friends all about your adventures. Since you won't be home for a few more days, why not send them a postcard to say hello? 🎨FRONT: Design a postcard photo that represents the beauty of your region. You can include landforms, vegetation, and water features. You might even want to include a landmark or recreation that is popular in your area. Flip through these awesome magazines for some inspiration: - http://media.scenicwa.com/studentguide/ca4d155925.pdf - https://online.fliphtml5.com/nxcu/oznp/#p=C1 📝BACK: Write a quick note to your friend telling them about your visit to the area. Include at least three details from your mind map. This is your chance to show off your expertise about the area. - What does the region look like? (landforms, vegetation, water features) - What has the weather been like during your visit? (climate) - What major cities or landmarks have you visited? Have you done any recreational activities during your visit? 💌BONUS: - Design your own WA State stamp to honor your region. What would be a symbol that represents your region's natural resources or industries? - Address the postcard to a friend or family member. Look at the teacher example for a reminder on how to do that.
