Have you ever seen a map? Maps are one way that we can help organise information about where things are located. Today, we are going to begin to explore grid maps. Check out the grid map of Adelaide Zoo attached to this activity. You may like to print a copy of this map if you are working from home. Use the mic to record your answers to the following questions; What animals are at: G4 Q7 13C Now you have got the hang of using the grid, make up ten grid questions to ask someone in your family. Record your questions, then ask them and see how many they can get right! ACARA Yr3 - Create and interpret simple grid maps to show position and pathways Yr4 - Use simple scales, legends and directions to interpret information contained in basic maps
