Turkey Trap STEAM Challenge

Student Instructions

Using only the materials that your teacher has given you, make a turkey trap for Thanksgiving! 1. Tap add 2. Tap the link to listen to the book How to Catch a Turkey. 3. Build your turkey trap using ONLY the materials your teacher has given you OR use drawing to design your virtual turkey trap. 4. Use photo , video , and/or mic to show and explain how your turkey trap will work. 5. Tap check to submit your work.

You can use any found materials in your classroom for these traps. Here are the materials that I provided for my students: 1. Snack sized zip lock bag (I put all of the other materials in the bag to make personal STEAM kits) 1 Pipe cleaner 1 Drinking Straw 1 Coffee filter 5 Popsicle sticks 1-10 inch piece of plastic lanyard ("gimp") 1-10 inch piece of thin masking tape 1-10 inch piece of thick masking tape 1/2 sheet of card stock 1/4 sheet of yellow construction paper 1/4 sheet of brown construction paper
