🔎 (A2) Measuring Rocks: Dimension 📏

Length and width are linear measurements of dimension. Length and width can be measured with a ruler. Length is how long an object is. It is the longest part of the rock. Width is how wide an object is. The circumference is the distance around an object. Scientists use the metric system to measure length, width, and circumference. We will use centimeters to measure the length, width, and circumference. The abbreviation for centimeters is cm. 1. Click the link to watch the video. 2. Click add to open the template. 3. Use the metric ruler to measure the length of the rock in centimeters. Take a photo. 4. Upload upload the photo on slide 1. 5. Use the label tool to type the length. Include the correct unit (cm). 6. Repeat for the width. 7. Use the tape measure to measure the length circumference of rock in centimeters. Take a photo. 8. Upload upload the photo on slide 2. 9. Use the label tool to type the length circumference. Include the correct unit (cm). 10. Repeat for the width circumference. 11. Click the green check to save.
