Today we are going to be reading more about Pura Belpre. You will need a piece of notebook paper, folded in half, long ways. On one side, put the heading "Planting Stories" at the top, on the other side put the heading "The Storyteller's Candle" at the top. 1. On the "Planting Stories" side of your paper, write down some important topics or things that you learned about Pura Belpre in this book. 2. Pay close attention to things that you notice that you heard in BOTH books. 3. On page 3, we will be working on comparing and contrasting the two books.
