Student Instructions
In this activity you will be subtracting by 'taking away' and by 'reducing'. Use the Numicon Shapes, the subtracting covers, and the rods to help you solve these problems. Take a photo and add it to the page then write the number sentence into the boxes.
After reading the instructions, begin the activity by tapping

Read the number story on each page, solve the problem using rods or Numicon Shapes and take a photo. Tap 
to open the photo menu. Tap 
to resize the photo and move it into place on the page.
Tap on the text boxes to write your number sentences.
When you are ready tap 
to add this activity to your Journal.
