We add er to a word when comparing 2 things. Example: big bigger We add est to a word when comparing 3 things. Example: big bigger biggest Pick 10 words. Add er to the word in the second column and est to the word in the third column. You may need to change the spelling of some of the words before adding er or est Hint: change the y to i double the final consonant if the vowel before it is short. Example: hot hotter
