Student Instructions
Composition Task 1. Drag a tick over each grey box when complete 2. Pick a mixture of 8 hand rhythms 3. Glue them in two rows of four 4. Practice each rhythm until you are confident 5. Practice all 8 rhythms until you can say them without hesitation 6. Take a clear photo of your page 7. Record your voice saying and clapping them Level of Challenge 🥫 - Write Notation underneath 🍜 - Write words that match the syllables underneath notation 🌶️ - Write a clear sentence that matches the rhythm underneath the words 🥵 - Write the note heads on a stave. Your teacher may play it for you!

This works for Years R-6. It all depends on the level of challenge you assign to your students. There is a performance page where older students can reflect on their achievement and think proactively about the next step required to challenge themselves. This uses hand shapes from the South Australian 'What's in the Box' Curriculum Unit.
