Click to submit your work. Families: This game focuses on addition and comparing numbers. Players select a domino that is face down and add to find the total number of dots on the domino. Players can count by 1s if needed, but it is encouraged that students work to recognize the dots and know it in their head. A great strategy that helps students be efficient is to have them identify the larger number, say it and then count on by 1s. Students can also create an addition equation. If playing this game with a partner, both players would total up their domino and compare their values. The player with the larger value gets to keep both dominoes, and the player with the most dominoes at the end is the winner.
