Student Instructions

Hello artists! Today we will be taking a look at the artist Victoria Villasana, a contemporary Mexican bombastic textile street artist. STEP 1: Watch the attached video https://youtu.be/9sKxr49WdCM STEP 2: Take or choose a photograph of your choice. You can use a portrait or any other photograph you happen to have on hand! Maybe you took an amazing photograph of your pet turtle, a photograph of what you had for lunch, or even an old family portrait. -If you choose to change your photo to black and white, tap"Edit" in the camera roll -On the left hand side choose filters, looks like a venn diagram -Then go to the black and white filter of your choice such as "Noir" or "Mono" STEP 3: Import your photo to ArtStudio or digital program of your choice, add a layer, and create away! Add any patterns, shapes, lines, and imagery you choose. You can even add text if you wish! STEP 4: Export that bad boy and add upload to Seesaw for your art teacher to see. We can't wait to see what you come up with! May the Arts be with you! Miss Beck
