Student Instructions

Throughout our personal narrative unit, you will have moments throughout the day to write in your digital notebook. This will be a place to jot down your ideas fast and furious using the notes section. Or begin writing a story in the personal narrative section of the notebook. 1. To begin, click the add button. 2. You may begin by decorating your Writers' Notebook using label, pen, drawing or the glowpen. Happy creating! 3. Next, you have the option to use the following tools when you begin writing in your notebook. Those tools include label, pen, or the drawing feature. 4. Once you write your story, you may use the mic feature to record yourself reading your story aloud. Below is an example of the front cover and where you may being writing in your notebook. Make sure you begin on the first page!

Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

I adapted the Writers' Notebook from its original format from Slidesmania.com. Once you begin your personal narrative unit, you may share this template with your students. Students may jot down notes during the mini lesson or practice writing fast and furious in the notes section. Stories students created can be found in the "Personal Narrative" section of the notebook.
