Battleship Tournament

Grades: 6th Grade, 5th Grade
Subjects: Math

Student Instructions

Hello Scholars! Before you begin place your battleships on the left coordinate plane. Once they are placed they are frozen for the rest of the game and cannot be moved. You and your opponent take turns guessing where each other's battleships are using ordered pairs. For example, "Do you have a ship at (4,2)?" Your opponent will either say "Hit" or "Miss." When you make an incorrect guess and miss, place a red X on the right Coordinate Plane on the plot you missed. If you guess and make a hit you mark the hit in GREEN. This helps you so you do not call on the same plot more than once in a game and you can track your hits. You will have 2 minutes to place your ships and then the 5 minute round starts. Once the timer is up place the winner in the box and move to the next slide. Find another player and wait until we start round 2. We will be completing 3 ROUNDS today.
