Describing Seeds and Plants

Grades: Pre-K
Subjects: Speech, Science, English Language Arts

Student Instructions

Here is a slide show of some seeds I planted and grew for my garden. 1. Click on the link in the top left corner to watch the slide show. 2. After you watch the slide show, you can open the template to take a photo or pen a picture of something that is growing near your house. 3. Then, press the mic and talk about things you notice about your plant. Remember, when you describe something, you can use your sense of sight to talk about its size, shape, color or parts. Important parts of plants include: roots, stems, leaves and flowers or food the plant produces. With some plants, your sense of smell can also be very important! 4. When you are finished, press the check.
