Planting a seed

Today we are going to plant a seed. You may use the seeds you found during our previous activity or choose another seed you would like to watch grow. For this activity you will need a seed(s), paper towel, sandwich size plastic baggie, tape, and a stapler. You may print out, cut and decorate the attached greenhouse template, or create one of your own. 1. Wet a paper towel and place it inside of the baggie. 2. Put a staple in the middle of the baggie (this will keep the seed(s) elevated so you have a better view of future root growth) 3. Place the seed(s) on top of the staple and close the baggie 4. Decorate a greenhouse frame and attach with tape. 5. Tape the baggie in a sunny spot so you can watch it grow! When your are finished take a photo then draw a picture (be sure to include the date) of what you see.
