Teachers, save “Part 1- Science Plant Experiment” to assign it to your class.

Materials needed: Leaves, Clear cups, water, food coloring, 1) Start by taking a walk outdoors and collecting various leaves. 2) Cut off the bottom of each leaf stem. Then place each leaf in a glass filled about half way with water. 3) Add food color to water. (This will work best if you use a darker color like red or blue). 4) Record yourself explaining what your leaf looks like right now and what you think will happen to your leaf over the next few days. 5) Observe your leaf each day to see what is happening.
