Imagine if a T-rex joined our class! They have tiny arms and a giant body. Think: Would a T-rex be able to put on sunglasses or a hat? Could they reach the water fountain? drawing Draw something you think the T-rex would have trouble doing in school. mic "T-rex trying to_____." Bonus: caption make a list of other ideas! "T-rex trying to ___." Be ready to share your creative ideas! Don't just try... TRY like a T-REX!

Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

Use this at the beginning of the year when talking about grit and growth mindset. Use this when your students aren't putting forth their best effort. Print the picture of the T-rex to hang in the room and periodically remind them that they need to keep trying and not give up when things are "hard"...tell them to "Try like a T-rex!"
