Math at Home activities include a variety of math routines that invite students to engage in meaningful mathematical problem solving and discourse. Math at Home activities are provided by The Math Learning Center with support from the Maier Math Foundation. SAME & DIFFERENT Same & Different activities invite students to compare and contrast two images with observable similarities and differences. Students make mathematical comparisons and justify their thinking. Students take it to the next level by creating a third image that relates to the other two images. Take a look at the Reference for Educators for sample student responses for this specific activity. https://mathathome.mathlearningcenter.org/activity/1550 WANT TO LEARN MORE?
