Student Instructions

For a character to seem real, he or she has to have both positive and negative traits. If he or she is too perfect, we can't really connect and feel like we know the character, can we? Think about Harry Potter... you might think about how brave he is to stand up against evil, but do you think about the fact that he doesn't really work all that hard at school? What other kinds of negative traits do you notice? Now, think about a character from your recent book club book. What are the positive things that you notice about him/her? What faults does the character have? Try to use really descriptive words. If you need to, look in a thesaurus to find just the right word to use! When you have finished thinking, open up the graphic organizer that is attached and fill it in. After it is approved, start work on your Clips video describing the character!
