Student Instructions

In this activity you are going to think about who you are and how have you changed over the year, if you can, look out a photograph from last year and compare it to how you look now. you will revisit the art skills on how to create proportionally accurate portraits and will learn how to work with crayons to blend your own unique skin tones. You will need: Crayons white paper photograph examples Mirror water colour paint - optional black pen First think about how you look. Then, have a look at yourself in a mirror to see if your perceptions match your reality. Then use your fingers as rulers to measure the different parts of your faces and with an adult discuss how they relate to one another. For example, the length of the eye matches the height of the nose, and the length of the mouth matches the height of the ear. After that have a go at drawing your face - remember to draw lightly so that you can rub out if you need to Next include hair - again remember to draw lightly Then layer crayons to create your own skin tones, eye colour and hair colour Then look out out your uniform and/put it on and draw and the top half (shirt/tie/jumper) Then add colour to your drawing by using crayon for the portrait and paint for the background. Next, once it is dry trace over the pencil marks with a black pen Then sign your work with: your full name the date your class your teacher's name your school name a catchy phrase such as lockdown 2020 to remind you of this unique time we are living in Finally post a picture of your lovely art work
