Student Instructions

This activity is intended to be used BY THE CLASSROOM TEACHER every morning at the start of a Distant Learning Class. She/He should assign this activity ONLY to the sample student. The teacher can 1. Take attendance by using the move tool to place student's names as they arrive onto the circle. 2. Review the Community Circle Norms and Feelings chart. 3. Select a student to start Community Circle. He/She can choose either Snail or Puppy to use as the talking piece. 4. When the student has finished, ask him/her which way around the circle he/she would like you to pass the talking piece to. 5. Continue until everyone has had a turn or has passed. Send the talking piece around again to give people who have passed an opportunity to speak. 6. Once you save this activity, you have a visual representation of who came to class virtually.
