Student Instructions

A synonym is a word that has the same, or nearly the same, meaning in some or all senses. It is NOT a definition of the word but rather a substitution for the word. You use a thesaurus to find synonyms while a dictionary is used to find definitions. DIRECTIONS: For this activity, you will be given a title or phrase and will be asked to say the same thing, but by substituting the phrase with synonyms (so you CAN'T use any of the words from the phrase in your answer).
