Teacher Notes (not visible to students)

You will need to have the programs below loaded into Scratch Jr. During the assessment, students will view each project in presentation mode (so that they cannot see the blocks) and then reconstruct the programs in their Seesaw journals. Each program goes up in difficulty with Program 7 being the hardest. Make sure the class can see how you started each program (whether by tapping a character or the green flag). Run through each program 3 times, allowing sufficient time for students to drag the blocks to recreate the program in their Seesaw journals. Program 1: Disappear, then Reappear Program 2: Hop Twice, Wait, Hop again Program 3: Turn right and left, Go Up and Down Program 4: Walk, then Run Program 5: Grow, Shrink, then Go to Outer Space Program 6: When Cat touches Dog, Dog Disappears Program 7: Cat says "Do this" and Dances (turn right (2), turn left (2), jump/Repeat x 2). Dog says "Ok" and mimics the dance. Images from scratch.mit.edu
