Student Instructions

We are learning about people who inspire us in different ways. Read the life stories (biographies) of these amazing people. Today we are learning about Sofia Ionescu (neurosurgeon), Celia Cruz (singer), Maria Callas (opera singer) and Simone Biles (gymnast). Then choose your level of challenge for this activity.... MUST DO: Write half a page summaries for the TWO people who you find more interesting. (Must be handwritten, not typed!) Take a photo photo of your book and click add CHALLENGE: Look online (Google or YouTube) to find out more about one of these inspirational people. Add videos of photos to your response by adding pages addpage to show me what you find! SUPER CHALLENGE: Add an audio comment by clicking caption mic to tell me your personal reflection about this lesson. Was it fun to learn about these people? What new information do you have? How do any of these people inspire you? Learning Intentions (there are three LI today!) 1. To be inspired by interesting people 2. To practice literacy skills of reading and summarising 3. To build your general knowledge - these people are real. This is not fiction!
