Grades 3-5 Overview: Students will summarize their daily reading in Seesaw. They will type and record themselves reading their summary in order to practice summarizing skills. This Activity can be completed during centers, stations, rotations, or independent work time. How to Use This Activity: Assign this Activity after you have taught students how to summarize reading. Schedule this Activity to be assigned to students during their rotation or independent work time. Students can summarize one or multiple chapters, or even an entire book. Assign this Activity as often as you would like students to be practicing summarizing skills. Students can hand write their summary and use the photo tool to capture it in Seesaw if needed.
