Instructions for Pupils

A schwa is a faint vowel sound usually in an unstressed syllable. Say the word 'chocolate'. Do you pronounce or articulate each syllable as strongly and as clearly as one another? The second syllable in c h o c o l a t e sounds like an 'uh' sound, more than a short o sound. 1. Click the link to watch the video about the schwa sound. 2.
