I can add “dialogue“ to make my characters talk back and forth

Grades: 4th Grade, 5th Grade, 3rd Grade

Student Instructions

1. Put one pointing finger on your lips. Point the other away from you. 2. Say “dialogue” and move your fingers back and forth 3 times for each syllable like words are going back and forth between you and someone else. Imagine you are the main character. Say “conversation” and move your fingers back and forth 4 times for each syllable like the main character and another character are talking back and forth to each other. Hear what they would say in your head. 3. Write down a sentence with one character saying something.Then have the second character answer. Finally have the first character respond to the second character. 4. See if you can make your scene come alive like a movie by keeping the conversation going. 5. Finish writing your scene. 6.Press add to add a photo.Take a photo photo of your scene 7. Use the drawing drawing tool to underline when your characters talk back and forth and rec record yourself reading entire scene but change your voice for each character!
