Grades: 4th Grade, 3rd Grade, 5th Grade
Subjects: Science

Student Instructions

Density is the amount of matter in a given space. Density describes how tightly the particles of matter are packed together. To do this activity, you need 4 containers that are exactly the same size and a kitchen scale. 1. Click add to open the template. 2. Find 4 containers that are exactly the same. 3. Fill the object to the top with different materials (cotton balls, LEGOs, beans, etc. 4. Use the scale to find the mass. 5. Infer the density of each container. 6. Label the container with the greatest density and the container with the least density. Use the mass of each as evidence. 7. Use the mic to record a summary. 8. Click the green check to save.
