An idiom is a phrase that is common in a language or culture that means something different from how it literally sounds. For example, 'The early bird gets the worm' means 'Being the first to do something usually means getting the best choice of outcomes.' It is not actually about birds or worms. DIRECTIONS: 1). Click the link to watch the video to review idioms which are a type of figurative language. 2). Then from page 1, pick an idiom you want to illustrate. 3). Grab a piece of copy paper and create a mini poster that includes the idiom, meaning, and both literal and figurative illustrations. Please see the example of a finished product on page 2. 4). Take a photo of your poster and upload it on page 3. 5). Press the check when you have finished.
