It's important for scientists to keep a notebook to document their observations and their findings about the natural world. Watch and listen as Astronaut Joseph Acaba reads aloud the book "Notable Notebooks" by Jessica Fries-Gaither. link https://storytimefromspace.com/notable-notebooks-2/ Astronaut Acaba read aloud some tips for having a science journal. Today, we are going to create YOUR science notebook for use this year. 1. Find a notebook that you can use and a piece of paper that you can use for the cover. Cut the paper to fit on the cover of the notebook you chose and write your name in the middle of the paper as large (and neatly!) as you can. 2. On the rest of the paper, draw and color pictures of things that you hope to learn more about in science this year. It could be pictures of dinosaurs, planets, recycling, or even the weather. Fill that page! 3. Attach the paper to your notebook cover using glue or tape. 4. add Take a picture of your notebook and upload it to your Seesaw account. Now, you have a notebook to use as you go through your science explorations this year! like Did you enjoy hearing this book read from space? You can write and tell Mr. Acaba what you liked about the book, ask him questions about space, or even get an autographed picture by writing to this address: NASA Johnson Space Center CB/Astronaut Office Houston, TX 77058
